Army Captain Chris Plekenpol

THE CHRIS PLEKENPOL STORY: "Faith in the Fog of War", a soldier's journal. Stories of triumph and tragedy in the midst of battle.
Chris wrote his book based on his experiences in Iraq. He will speak of life and death situations on the battlefield, both spiritually and physically, that will grab your attention and your heart. Chris will talk about the relationships he had with his men, some believers and others unbelievers. Some of his men were full of fear and some were cynical about God. Chris ministered to all his men who would allow it.
In September 2004, Chris and his company were deployed from Korea for duty in Iraq. Chris's unit, the Apache Company, 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, supported U.S. Marines during the Fallujah campaign conducted in early November of that year.
Chris was responsible for the lives of 100 men in Iraq where his leadership capabilities were put to the ultimate test. Come to listen to a first-hand account of what happened to these men in the battlefield!!!
Oliver North, Host of "War Stories" on Fox News wrote: "Faith forged in the crucible of combat! Chris Plekenpol is a warrior and he has comprised a great guide for victory in the battles we all face."
Having witnessed unparalleled horrors during his service, Chris sought the love and support of God and the Lord Jesus Christ to help him and his men endure the hardships of their military experience. Come to be inspired as Chris tells the story of several men, all who were under the stress of battle, not knowing whether or not they would survive that day. Chris will tell how God used him to speak to the hearts of his men, as the men were searching on how to be the warrior that God created them to be.
Chris will encourage us to choose the harder right over the easier wrong while facing the challenges of everyday life. Chris graduated from West Point, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary.
